Germany, France push for tax harmony - Handelsblatt

According to Handelsblatt sources in the German government, the German finance minister Wolfgang Schauble and his new French counterpart, Bruno Le Maire are on course to make a renewed push to harmonize corporate taxes in the European Union (EU).

Mr. Le Maire, in an exclusive interview with Handelsblatt said: “It is necessary to respond to market distortions and illegitimate competition caused by tax dumping.”

Mr. Le Maire is set to meet Mr. Schauble in Berlin on Monday.
